Handmade Christmas Balls

This is a great piece to give as a gift or to make for yourself!

What you need:
-large clear Christmas balls
-scissors
-paper items you are wanting to cut

-All you do is cut the paper items you want to use into strips. You need to do then at least a quarter of an inch so they will fit into the Christmas ball.
-After you have your strips just twirl them around a pen to make then curl.
-Then place them one by one into the christmas ball. You can add as many as you want to make them look fuller if you would like.

I made this for myself! It is with the plane tickets, arm bands and other paper items I kept when my boyfriend, his family and I went on a trip to cancun. It was my first trip out of the country so I thought I was a perfect idea to have this keepsake to remember it by year after year.

Stick on nails?

So my new obsession....stick on nail art! There are some real cute ones out there. I tried some last week and just put a clear top over top. LOVE it!

There are a lot of brands out there. I got mine at CosmoProf. The name is, 'dashing diva design fix'! They came with 42 applications in 14 sizes and the sizes can be used for figures and toes! The cost was $10.00. They can last up to 3 weeks according to how rough you are. Some people are using them with the new 'shellac' that is new out there but once I placed mine on with a clear top coat, the complements started rolling in!

Here's a quick photo! They are a must try!

Where have I been!

Shewww, I just knew it would be hard to blog some days and others it would be easy. Even though I have the app on my phone, i'm just a little slow still and have yet to use it. Something that has been taking up my time?
These sweet little boogers that I just can't help but smile whenever I see their sweet faces!
Sometimes I try to be quite the photographer. Rather it work sometimes, more than others is apparent. Above is one of the photos I was trying my magic on. I'm in the process of learning the cool technique of making the background blurry and whatever is in the foreground focused. The real named would be called "Shallow Depth of Field". I wanted to share some information I found with you, just incase you wanted to try your photography skills as well. Of course the photo above isn't one of those photos but whenever I master my skill I will share. Until then here's how i'm attempting to do it! I use the tips from this great website below. Go ahead, take a look. It's such a fun website even if you have a little interest in photography!

fall fashion friday.

Friday is of course my favorite day of the week. So why not share some of the fall beauty fashions that are so popular at the moment. With are some how to tips as well.

Nails
Essie has become one of my favorite nail polishes. It seems to last longest on me, which is always a plus.
Brown, with a shimmer to it or not. Always a good fall color.
Light gray and dark grays are great. One plus is, the color goes with everything!
Keep seeing those people with matte nails?
LOOK no further this is it!
It's a great addition to any color you have. The China Glaze Matte Magic.
Gives that awesome matte look, and works as your top coat.

  Eyes
This is a wonderful fall color combo with the green, browns, and golds.
HOW TO?
1-Start with a lighter color, like light gold on the brow bone to give it a highlight.
2. Place the green in the inner corner and work your way to the outer but don't take it all the way out.
3. Place green under the eye as well, use a smaller brush to make sure you done have too much.
A eyeliner pencil that is the same color will work as well.
4. Start with the brown and place in the middle of the eyelid and on the outer corner.
It's a good idea to move in tiny circles at those areas so you don't get too much brown.
5. Add eyeliner of your choice on top and bottom or how ever you prefer.
6. Of course last, curl lashes and add lots of mascara!

TIP: If you follow in steps with the colors just like the photo it's easier to get the exact look.
Here is a similar look like above just with different colors.
You can follow the how to just like above.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! :) Hope you get to try your new fashions out over the weekend!

Color Frenzie

Teal and Red. It's my new favorite color combo. It is a wonderful combo for any outfit, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen or even a party theme. Just an example of things I would love to recreate.

< crafts >

A view of my crafts I have made over the last couple weeks. I'm on the way to making some more awesome jewels and wreaths as well! If anyone has more ideas please shoot them to me.

Wreaths
Simple: maybe 45 mins to make

Need:
wreath form of your choice
ribbon
tulle
wooden letter
(paint for letter if you wish)

You can use any wreath form that you want. You can wrap with a fabric of choice, like the 2nd one or you can use something like the 1st one, where you don't have to cover it.
Use the tulle and ribbon to make bows and decorations on the wreath form as you want. You can get creative as you would like.
No need for glue or tape, because you are using tulle and ribbon just make
knots and bows.
You could even use number's instead of letter's that will represent house numbers.
I used letters to represent last names.

Earrings

need:
chain
charms
earring hooks
beads

These are quite self explanatory. Just be creative.

Bracelet

Need:
lace
buttons
needle
thread

Just sew the buttons onto one end of a piece of lace.
Use the holes in the lace as the button holes.
